There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, but there are some session norms you can expect. Individual sessions are 45 minutes. Couples sessions are 50 minutes. Typically sessions are held weekly. We will meet in an office where you can choose the seat and posture that are most suitable for you. We will discuss why you have chosen to come to therapy, explore your relationships, and create plans to make change.
I prefer face-to-face services. If circumstances require using telehealth services, I am set up to provide these services. I prefer in-person sessions but I don't want that to stop you for seeking support.
It depends. Your experiences are unique to you which means the timeline is unique to you too. I have worked with people who feel they have made the desired changes in a few months. I have also worked with people who feel they have made the desire change in a few years. The pacing really is up to you and me.
